First France and now South Korea, why are other countries so threatened by freedom?

His name can actually be read like "problem person" haha.

I'm sure plenty of koreans made this joke, and boy will it be prevalent if this guy is just as much of a fuck up

Also there are like no good politicians in Korea like at all

South Korean elections means so much when they just depose any elected leader they don't like

Lol wtf, you mean the 1 time it happened in Korea's modern history? I mean sure you can look at the super old days when the government was less stable, but since like the 80's, there haven't been a single president that led a shaky office.

This confuses me greatly....I am not a political person, so am I missing something here?

This guy wants to discuss things with the leader of North Korea to....what? You hear nothing but horror stories out of North Korea, everything from how they are treated to what they eat (or don't eat since they barely have food). Why did the people elect someone like that?!

He's not conservative/Right, so that only means trouble, apparently.

Obviously they're talking about a guy trying to maintain an amicable relation between the North and South, sorta like how they did the last 2 decades or so. How do you think those NK fuck ups where they killed a bunch of SK sailors didn't erupt into a war? NK and SK are closer than you think, and recent years, more NK citizens have been allowed to visit other countries to spread the good word about NK, the little good there remains to say about it

I wouldn't count on the SJW garbage. If he wants to stay in office and have his party in control for the foreseeable future, he won't change discrimination laws by much. Certainly not allowing legal abortions, same sex marriage, transgendered bathrooms, or other stuff that American media is fond of reporting.
Maybe they will make punishments for discrimination against foreigners a bit heftier, but really, I only see the government's stance towards N. Korea changing, and probably a shift in economic policy (considering S. Korea was somewhat favorable already on the trade aspect of globalization, it might go more protectionist to boost the local economy (which you liberals hate), or it might work to drop import/export restriction goods))

But yeah, this:

I like to think the somewhat recent Korean movie "The King" is what goes on internally in politics and stuff.

After witnessing such events, I can now officially say that South Koreans are smart people.
