Clone Wars is really a roller coaster in terms of quality and has a lot of filler and side stories, while Rebels focuses exclusively on a single team of characters. There are charts out there outlining the best and most important Clone Wars episodes if you don't want to watch the whole thing. The fourth and final season of Rebels should start up sometime soon, since they just put out a trailer for it. And then they've said they want to work on additional Star Wars cartoons. All that's really important is the introduction of Asoka and that first battle.
