When the PS3/360 DMC 4 came out one of the complaints was that the game was too barebones and that DMC 3 SE on PS2 was a better buy. Now though DMC 4 SE has added content, play as Trish, Lady, and Vergil, and a Legendary Dark Knight Mode. I think it has at least the same amount of replay value as DMC 3 SE did, maybe even more.
I never even played vanilla DMC 4, but, seeing what DMC 4 SE added I understand why people would think the game was too barebones. If you only played DMC 4 last gen I think you're missing out. --- ~Nintendo 64. Get N or Get out. Coming Fall 1996~ ... Copied to Clipboard!

I liked the gameplay of DMC4 more than DMC3. the only thing , well two things, that were better in 3 was that there was really no back tracking. dmc4 only had like 11 stages because you literally backtracked through the stages again.
the lack of weapons in 4 was a little disappointing (basically only two new weapons for dante, nero was a cool addition though) the addition of trish, lady, and vegil made up for it in the SE ... Copied to Clipboard!

dmc4 was fun until you had to stop playing as Nero
Dante was just too boring after that --- wanna watch me eat a pineapple pizza with a diced hardboiled egg on it? https://youtu.be/j3mGmQWc7hY ... Copied to Clipboard!
