Final Fight Streetwise
Let me tell you how bad it is:


The Final boss is a Mutated Monster Cody and Belger's(The wheelchair crossbow wielding final boss of the original Final Fight)crazed reverend brother

Streetwise singlehandedly revived and killed off Final Fight in one fell swoop

and the branch that developed it was immediately shut down. or at least thats how the story goes

this was during Capcom USA's CRAZY years when they received the official licensing of various games from Capcom Japan

they made this game, Capcom Fighting Jam (an official MUGEN game), and they also changed the canon of the Street Fighter games. claiming that each game was in it's own self contained universe and none of them connect to each other

this was the dark age, during the PS2 era. thank god SFIV showed up and changed everything again

They didn't make Fighting Jam, Japan did, and Ono was the producer which is why so many people were worried about SF4.

Capcom USA made the Maximo games.

I'm so indebted to Street Fighter IV. It brought me back into fighting games and is probably the one game that's had the biggest impact on my gaming life this generation. On a grander scale, it's a hugely influential game that, like everything else, gets sadly overshadowed by CoD.
