I remember people saying how difficult it was, and how there is no way you could figure it out without replaying it over and over or if someone told you. But I beat it on my first try with not problem????

No, I knew nothing about the Time Eater fight beforehand. Except that it was allegedly impossible.

I didn't think it was very hard. The perspective switch was pretty stupid though. Really, the whole thing kinda sucked compared to the Egg Dragoon right before it.

I guess it was supposed to be the perspective switch that was difficult to figure out? I may not have gotten it right away, if it weren't for the other characters yelling at you to change whenever the boss changed.

Are you sure it wasn't people complaining about the difficulty of the achievement for that boss (never get hit)?

The perspective switch is what screwed me up in the beginning, because at first I THOUGHT I understood it, but apparently it wasn't really working as I thought... but then later I realized that it actually was working as I thought. I dunno, it was just a little messy and confusing. Took me like 3 tries I think.

Previous bosses were way awesome, though.

It's pretty much luck-based whether you win or not. Sometimes it's a freaking breeze, other times it's near-impossible.

Plus literally everything about the fight is designed poorly. I am comfortable in saying it is the worst thing I have played in any video game ever.

Yeah, this. It took me something like 6 tries to beat, and I felt like I did worse on that run than I did on most of my previous ones, but apparently I didn't.
