heard about it among a list Nintendo published games that don't make it state-side so I decided to see what it's like

it has flaws, but it's pretty damn good, characters/story/art design -wise. I really got the feeling B8 would like it while I was playing, since we seem to look past meh gameplay if it's got an intriguing storyline.

Obscure story heavy game sequel to another obscure story heavy DS game? Of course I played it. I liked it a lot!

I've got it, but I haven't started it yet. I didn't realise it didn't get a US release though.

I always meant to play Trace Memory/Another Code, being a big Hotel Dusk fan and all. I should get around to it one of these days.

Also, the term "beated" never fails to put a smile on my face. :D
