Yeah, it's pretty good. The warfare is so much better than the others in the series (Though IV beats it in a number of other categories, including techs and diplomacy)

Civ IV might be better in some technical aspects, I do like the overall presentation better in V

the game has been updated in very good ways. though, i am still grring over a lack of a replay and graphs.

Completely wiping out other civs is fun, especially when they acted so smug and superior to you at the beginning. well take THAT Persia!

Yeah it's pretty fun. Civ IV is probably still a better game but Civ V improves with every patch. One of the best things you can put on your computer!

It's nowhere near as good as Civ IV, in my opinion, but it's still a good game. Diplomacy isn't too good, the AI struggles with the new combat mechanics, and it's a bit on the easy side, but Civ is Civ -always fun!

when I play Civ V it's like "one day when they fix all this it's going to be really awesome." IV was a mess when it came out too. it's fun enough for now anyway. I would really like to go a game where the entire world doesn't hate me at the end though. they gotta figure out how to make that work, it seemed reasonable enough in IV.

actually if they took 4's everything and combined it with 5's combat I think we'd have the perfect Civ game.
