I dont think the alcohol is as much of as a factor as it being an area where shootings frequently happen.

Not just shootings. I'm mean disturbances in the theater in general. I can only think of a couple of other times where people were going around causing trouble because they were drunk. I'm surprised it's not more often.

But yeah, as far as the area is concerned, there's a saying nowadays that Buckhead (the rich people part of Atlanta) is becoming the new Bankhead (not so rich people part of Atlanta) because there's been a rise in violent gun crimes for the past couple of years. You hate to see it.

Buckhead after dark has been dangerous for at least two decades now. At least a few times a year somebody is getting shot up at or near a club, so now it's just transitioning to movie theaters.

It's gotten much worse recently. About a month or so ago, someone got robbed and shot at in the Lennox mall parking lot in broad daylight.
Shit's getting crazy over there. I use to frequently hang out there at one point. Nowadays, I only go there maybe once or twice a year to see a movie and then get the fuck out.

I used to watch movies there all the time in high school in the early 2000s. That's one of the more swanky theaters.

lol, a few years ago I used to go the amc on camp creek pretty often, it got shot up every other weekend.
