This is inevitable. And it'll go straight to trying to buy mature books and games online. So be prepared to either use a VPN to even buy and play GTA6, have to move, or have Amazon or wherever you're buying it block you in your state.

even if you agree with this law for some unknown reason, the implications are very bad.

then books start to be labeled "porn"

then even bikini pics are labeled "porn" (sound fucking familiar?)

and now M-rated games are "porn"

then R-rated movies are porn

then pg-13 movies

etc

Only way for anything resembling parity would require not just IDs but live verification of IDs every time adult content is viewed, it'd be incredibly expensive and inconvenient and VPNs would still bypass it.

What they declined was an emergency request. As far as I know, no case about these laws have made it to the Supreme Court. They'll probably do the same thing, then.

I think you're overthinking what will happen. I don't see them labeling random stuff porn. Being Texas, what will be labelled porn is anything regarding LGBTQ+ stuff that implies they are people like anybody else.
