Check your local food bank? Also if there's a Sikh gurdwara near you, you can go there 3 times a day and they will feed you, no question asked.

One cannot count on people being helpful but possibilities are

for help with forms and food banks

Librarian
Religious organization
Other community groups

Lots of people have trouble with forms.
