I mean I don't want to fund Israel, and I think healthcare should be free, but I vote for people who contradict that. Okay that's not really the same thing though because my other option (that actually has any shot at winning) would just do the same lol

Again, assuming every person in America who belongs to that party fits neatly into the box you want to place them in, is in fact silly. Different people have different values. If you think all Republicans are the same, then I guess so are all Democrats. All exactly the same, with exactly the same viewpoints on every issue.

When theres 2 bad options, vote for the better one.

And conservative economic policies aren't even good unless you're rich! They lead to a lot of the social problems that further entrench the "culture war" issues that conservatives capitalize on that you seem to be against (or at least are hiding that you agree with). At best maybe they benefit people in short sighted ways, like gas prices (which have a nebulous connection to their policies at best anyway)

Look at the board title. Why wouldn't politics be a potential point of discussion on a board literally called Current Events?

People who come to GameFAQs looking for game guides and shit didn't end up here anyway so your point makes no sense at all. People who come to talk about video games don't want to see hostile discussions of economic policies or abortion or Israel or religion or other controversial subject in the middle of their topics about who the best Mortal Kombat fighter is.

So they don't like CE since as this topic alone demonstrates. That's what tends to happen here. They see it as toxic.

The whole notion of off-topic makes no sense for CE, especially for anything that sparks disagreement. Sure, someone posting about ancient Egyptian history would be off-topic, but nobody actually does that.

Literally every response to me has been argumentative, adversial, ignoring what I said (sometimes flat out lying about what I said) accusing me of things, calling me a troll, implying I'm conservative (which is hilarious btw) and directly ignoring the topic title and OP.
