I wouldn't say that this has always been the most productive use of my time. It was pointed out to me once, via the badges tracking, that I am one of the two or three most prolific topic creators on GameFAQs. But I have found a community here, for better and for worse, and it's a damn shame what capital is doing to this community.

For what it's worth, I found myself enjoying your posts throughout the years. I don't think we've had much if any direct interaction, but you were a positive part of the experience here.

Yeah it honestly is a shame. This place may be dysfunctional at times and has had plenty of trolls throughout its history, but this is still a community made up of people who have been here for most if not all of the formidable years of their lives. This latest move just expedites the end of an already dwindling user base.

I've been off and on for 21 years and its a shame as soon as I return here this happens :/
I mean life goes on and so does reddit but I still have a odd infinity to this place, it does make me feel the end is near completely for these message boards

Yeah. I spent most of my time up till about 10 years ago over on the Forum when it used to be way more active. Once if mostly died I switched to CE. It kept me occupied and entertained when I was stuck in the hospital during chemo even though I mostly just lurked back then.

Been coming here for about 19-20 years. I lurked for a while before singing up on '05. It's one of the few sites that I go to daily. I just hope everyone is overreacting and everything will be fine, and this site will remain for quite a while.

I don't think that's going to happen unfortunately.

I am actually pretty bummed about this. I post on reddit a fair bit too and I'm honestly not really "tight-knit" with anyone here, but it's still a fair bit more homey than anything I post on reddit.

Crazy how social media comes and goes, as well as some specialty forums for me, but GameFAQs stayed constant.
