Murderers probably have an easier time getting into the basement than they do the attic

The basement, because ghosts are heavier than air.

If you see them floating, it's actually witchcraft and not a simple haunting.

In movies I'm more scared of the attic jump scares.

Irl basement is way creepier.

basements cus they're usually colder than the rest of the house so it makes it feel eerier.
also finished basements are creepy in a different way, cus they always have lighting that feels too intense.

I feel like the hellish temperature of an attic keeps all the scary stuff away.

A lot of basements are finished as nice as the main level and often end up being the main family room/tv room vs the living room on the main level. Basically I love a nice finished basement.

Where as where I live most houses don't really have the type of attic that you can easily access and actually utilize for storage and walking around. Many times its just a crawl area with insulation everywhere.

I don't think either one is creepy as an adult but as a little kid, sure I suppose basements felt a little creepier because of the unfinished room that usually housed the furnace and hot water heater. It was a little more industrial. Then you of course have the unfinished basements that are just concrete and largely ignored.

Attic for me. except every so often the corners of a basement mess with me, stupid Blair Witch movie.

The attic, attics are a pain in the ass to get to depending on the age of your house. Usually you stick shit you won't need anytime soon in there, because it's a pain in the ass to get to. There's a small attic space in my closet, I have no clue what the fuck is in there I haven't looked in a decade, & when you get brown recluses & black widows, I'm not gonna stick my head up there to look so it can stay sealed off by a door

I can survey an attic without going all in and get out quickly should I need too.

With the basement especially open stair ones ones you can get attacked before you can see the threat. Also you can fall out of the attic, but only farther into the basement.

Basement. Most of them only have one way out.

Dead people are buried under ground. Basements are underground. Also, you kind of have to build an attic, but some basements tend to have unfinished dirt walls/floors, whitch would allow stuff to tunnel/seep in. Aaaaaand attics kan actually allow natural light. Basements ain't known for windows.
