He's not a good fighter in the team, his story goes nowhere and has no pay off. His rivalry with Sephiroth doesn't matter, because it's already way stronger with Cloud. He's purely aesthetics. He isn't playable in Rebirth. Doesn't even appear till, if I remember correctly, the last quarter of the game and mostly just follows the party and makes random observations or mentions of Sephy boy. He looks pretty good though, imo.
