Have you ever tried a food challenge, like "eat a 72 oz steak in under an hour" or something like that?

No. Depends on what it is but I could probably do a reasonable one.

I did a few when I was younger, but I did enough exercise that I was a bottomless pit back then and still stayed slim.

If I tried them now, Id be fucked.

Nothing official, but years ago at work someone didn't believe that I'd be able to eat a box of (6) corndogs on break. Easy. Never even had a doubt.

Those are very small compared to real corndogs. Way too easy.

Only one I've done is a spicy wing challenge at a bar. Felt like I was going to die.

Im a pretty picky eater, so I never encountered an eating challenge that I would dare take on.

This. I did a ghost pepper wing challenge in high school with friends. None of us ate more than one of those things.

Would probably be somewhat easy for me. Carolina Reaper snack is what got me.

closest thing I've done is accidentally getting way too much at all you can eat sushi with a few friends

not a properly defined "challenge" but it sure felt challenging

Not from a restaurant or anything. Did win a watermelon eating contest once. It was easy... Just who ever finished a large piece of watermelon first won a pack of local beef from the farmer hosting the event. I was at the rind while everyone else wasn't even halfway finished. Got several nice steaks and a couple roasts.
