Would a domesticated cat that's had human caretakers their entire life be able to survive in the wild if they really had to?

They can probably survive for some amount of time, but depending on the area, the life expectancy is much lower. Even stray/feral cats who were born outside have much lower life expectancies. Untreated disease, predators, hit by cars. Lots of dangers out there!

I actually haven't.

It's actually moderately rare for cats to get heartworms vs dogs. But my understanding of the testing is that it's complicated because of the life cycle of the worm. At different stages and concentrations of worms, you can get incorrect results.

Hmm, that's strange. Might be because of the salt? And generally bees are not going to sting unless the hive is threatened, so that would apply to people as well.

It's just a evolutionarily evolved behavior that not only keeps them clean but helps with body temp regulation and circulation.

I used to have a cat who would silently meow most of the time. Like it looked like she was meowing but there was no sound. Rarely she would meow in a way that I could hear her. Is that unusual for cats?

Kittens are often more outgoing compared to adults, kind of like how little kids can be fearless. It also may be a type of learned fear.

Cats have such a wide range of vocalizations, so that's not surprising. Aside from some medical issue, if it was how they always were, it's probably just a quirk.

Adorable. I think it looks more exaggerated on a kitten's face when they meow just because it's a lot smaller. They're also familiarizing themselves with their vocal cords, so they often will be louder than an adult cat in my experience.

Yes, most animals do not have mirror self recognition. However, my cats still don't react to the reflection.
