They dropped all of season one of the boys in day one after all. Only gave it a weekly schedule with later seasons. Same thing with Reacher. So this isn't necessarily a bad sign. Years ago when I was at my most disenchanted with Fallout 3's overall writing, I still thought in the back of my mind that the game's handful of standout sidequests would make for a good episodic adventure show. And now here we are. It just depends on how much sway Bethesda has over the actual show writers (hopefully not much), and whether they'll emphasize more of the 'side quest' episodic stuff (yay!) or attempt to focus on the larger narrative (boo!). Acting is good, cinematography tends to be pretty good though I've noticed some jarring/weird cuts and edits here and there. I'm not a hardcore Fallout fan, have only played through 3, NV, 4 and a little of 76. I feel like there are some cool aspects of the games in there. A lot of the subtle-ish gaming commentary is generic to video games in general, not necessarily Fallout specifically. There are some really dumb plot points in it though which ruins a little bit of it. Characters and moments that are just way too perfect and convenient. And some things (~~like that Enclave laboratory~~) felt really fucking out of place.
