I'm not naturally the most outgoing, but other people seem to find me very approachable. So it works. Also, I'd often get adopted by a random friend group that were bar hopping. I learned in my early 20s that no matter where I go in the world, if I run into a bachelorette party, they can make me feel like I'm home. Even in my 40s this happens. I don't understand why large groups of rowdy women love me, but they do and I'm very grateful for that. --- I don't believe in belts. Didn't stay in touch with people much when I was younger, so, when I moved back to my home city, I was basically alone for a decent bit. Its usually good if you're reasonably sociable, but still a bit of a gamble. For some crowds, it doesn't matter how drunk they get, they're never going to branch out of their groups. It was early evening, so I didn't expect it to be busy. So anyway, went in, brought myself a pint and stood by the bar nursing it, when I noticed some fella I knew from school, was at the other side of the bar, with friends glaring at me.
