But I feel like people mistake what introvert/extrovert actually are. Like introvert is associated with being shy or antisocial. While being an extrovert is associated with being talkative or a social butterfly. But those are byproducts, rather than actual defining characteristics. For example, it's easier for extroverts to be social butterflies, since they gain energy from being social. But introverts can also be social butterflies. The difference is that for the introvert, they will eventually need to leave the social gathering after their energy is depleted. So it's not really accurate to assume that introverts don't like to, or can't, socialize. Its good to wonder about life and I think one should waffle and think forever about the world.. but not when it comes to making decisions. I dont mind going along with a decision as long as it feels good to you. I dont mind the failure of an option I champion either. You learn to embrace your mistakes as a musician. But it's mentally exhausting when I'm around too many people for too long. In order to recover, I need time for myself. NoxObscuras posted... Deep introvert. I enjoy hanging out and socializing every now and then. But it's mentally exhausting to do so. So I'm not one for big parties or big social gatherings (those will exhaust me even faster). I need "me time" to recharge after socializing. Thankfully I can still recharge with my girlfriend around. She doesn't exhaust me Basically this, although I wouldn't call myself a deep introvert.
