In this case it's a hit and run (auto not pedestrian) and 4 people got minor injuries.

He'll just pay whatever fine and nobody will remember this shit in a few months.

I think that's one of the issues with society always being online and filmed 24/7. It used to be the stupid shit you did as a kid or young adult would get lost to time and forgotten, but now that can follow you 10+ years later when you're a totally different person.

Thankfully it will blow over and/or people just move onto the next issue they pretend to care about, but still sometimes people get fucked over for dumb shit they did years prior.

You would be amazed (but probably not) at the lengths sporty ball fans will go to excuse the actions of professional sporty ball players.

well it shouldn't be punished any more harshly than anyone else just because he's a football player

but it also won't be surprising if it happens again. anyone making the rookie minimum can afford a driver when they go out drinking

I think he was racing. Having a driver would defeat the purpose of racing. The penalties for racing are about the same as DUI which is to say usually kind of a joke for first time offenders.

I suspect they'll want to make a little of an example out of him but I wouldn't expect anything big.

Luckly no one was killed. He has the money and the means to go track and race. He did not have to do this , and it was not a mistake.

that literally sounds like multiple bad mistakes he made throughout multiple days of his life. it really took him a single moment to get a high priced car? or to decide to speed? or flee a scene? or whatever happened after? dude needs to figure out the meaning of "one"

Why is it whenever someone does something terrible you get people coming out going but he's a good a person

No one cares: He didn't kill or significant injure anyone, which is lucky for his own sake. No one expects the athletes famous for taking repeated blows to the head to necessarily the smartest decision makers, but hopefully he learns from his folly and decides to keep the speed racer routine to the race track next time or at least pull over if he is involved in an accident.
