I dont condone a lot of what Israel has done re: civilian deaths but last thing we need is Iran getting involved and attacking Israel proper. This really is the worst timeline.

Iran trains, funds, and arms militias in literally every country surrounding israel. Hamas straight up visited Iran prior to the attack. They've been involved since the very beginning.

On Monday evening, Iran's Revolutionary Guards put out a statement saying that seven of its officers were killed, including Brig-Gen Mohammad Reza Zahedi and Brig-Gen Mohammad Hadi Haji-Rahimi.

Iranian media said Zahedi, 63, was a senior figure in the Quds Force - the Revolutionary Guards' overseas operations arm - and served as commander in Lebanon and Syria between 2008 and 2016. Haji-Rahimi was meanwhile identified as Zahedi's deputy.

Zahedi is one of the most high-profile Iranian figures believed to have been killed by Israel in the country's long campaign of targeted assassinations.

On Tuesday, Iranian state TV reported that the death toll had risen to 13, with six Syrian nationals killed along with the Revolutionary Guards.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a UK-based monitoring group, reported that 11 members of Iran's so-called "Axis of Resistance" were killed. They comprised eight Iranians, including seven commanders, two Syrians and one Lebanese national, it said.

Lebanese security sources also told Reuters that one member of Lebanon's Iran-backed Hezbollah movement was killed.

Separately, the IDF has urged people not to panic buy. Writing on X, formerly Twitter, Rear Adm Hagari said: "There is no need to buy generators, store food and withdraw money from ATMs.

The status quo in the current world is that you can fund proxies without much consequence. Iran directly attacking Israel would be a huge escalation and risk for them.

It probably still wouldn't be Iran directly. Those cowards will just have Hezbollah invade or something, like usual.

Hezbollah's arsenal is the most succinct, direct, obvious answer to "why does Israel secure the borders of Gaza?" Why? Look at what Hezbollah has. That shit would be in Gaza too, if they didn't.

I just hope it doesn't take much more deaths for Biden to finally strike back at Iran directly, instead of symbolically hitting their bases in Yemen and Syria after giving them a one week heads up to leave. He's been ridiculously weak on Iran, hopefully just so when they finally cross whatever "red line" he has in his head (apparently it's not sinking commercial vessels, killing merchant crews, or killing a bunch of American soldiers, so I'm not sure where the line is, but yeah....), he can point to how fucking soft he was on them to prove he's not just a warmonger and they brought it on themselves...

Isnt it customary for their enemies to wait until they are observing Friday evenings religious sabbath before attacking?
