I think AI will hit a local maximum. There's a lot of hype and there are certainly concrete use cases already, but the utility is overstated due to hype.

I think hes right. AI is basically brute force probability at scale. With that, you can train it to do a lot of human tasks. But curing disease takes more than brute force.

I think the most terrifying image for me regarding the future of AI is the combination of AI and robotics in manufacturing. A manufacturing plant run by AI and robots doesn't need any light systems nor any need for HVAC systems; just a completely dark cold factory running 24/7.
