I dont think I had a concrete concept of numbered years before 2001 but I relish what little I remember of the pre-9/11 world & absolutely would choose to be born 25 years earlier if given the opportunity.

I knew a guy that went to absurd lengths worrying about Y2K shit. I wanted to clown him so much after nothing happened, but I held my tongue.

He was really, really annoying, though. Even ended up on local TV and a magazine with his rants.

Going into 2000s was something else. Some of it perhaps was forced in hopes or fears or radical change. I don't think we'll ever act like that again because we'd probably too numb or smart going into the year 3000.

As human civilization continues on, people in then 2900's are gonna be like "damn then 1980s - 2000s were the peak of humanity ". We were getting into a technological era with most barely understanding it. Ignorance was bliss.
