I lost to children at a chess club. Atm Im ranked (1640 Elo) 60% better than one minute players.

The same week, I beat a man who bought cheap stocks during the 2006 recession, I resigned against an 8-year-old Filipina.

This just feels like sour grapes.
That's all it ever has been. They literally only make a big stink about it when a transgender person wins. When they lose, then they don't care at all.

Darts has no reason to be separated by gender.

Most individual sports don't.

Darts is one of the sports which are technically not separated by gender, but still have women only tournaments.

There is no Men division in Darts. The highest league/tournaments are open to everyone.

It's just that women rarely qualify for it, so they keep "women only" tournaments to support and promote women in this sport.

Makes me think of MTG tournaments and how male dominated those events are. It's not that men are better, but the entire culture behind the game has been toxic to women for so long that getting women to play was nigh impossible. Only in recent years has that begun to change

But darts? Lol

Wait a sec. How is this person competing in both?

I can understand and acknowledge that there are fewer women competing in this kind of stuff and that's what necessitates a female league, but in that case they should be happy to have another skilled woman competitor. The reason they see this as an issue is because they still view her as a man

pretty much how I see it. Unless there is a clear presentable difference between the male and female game state, then doesnt matter

Blanket bans are prejudicially discriminatory and harmful. Having common-sense rules and regulations surrounding hormone therapy (time started, levels tested, etc.) allow for equitable participation.

The same narrative is true for most sports and competitions.

Which is why there's no reason to be separated by gender.

The definition of sport here is probably doing some really heavy lifting for this to be true.

You'd need the sport to have no reliance on power and probably endurance for this to be true, like dart throwing.

Even a sport like table tennis has a male advantage.

I'll concede this point, nobody should be the target of harassment for engaging in a competition and I'm sorry that you experienced even a little bit. In fact, the formation of women's leagues is often attributed to being forcefully excluded from the male spaces, and not because of perceived differences in ability.

In a better world, women in sports and other competitive environments wouldn't be targeted by those kinds of (lack of a better word here) microaggressions.
