This in the same state that sentenced a woman to five years in prison for voting while ineligible to do so, which she did via provisional ballot upon the advice of the poll worker. Guess what color her skin is. Hint: it's a good deal darker than the good pastor's.

Multiple sources confirmed to KRIS 6 Wednesday that the sentence of probation was request by the victim and her mother, and agreed upon by the prosecution.

William C. Robinson, a pastor working for Chi Alpha Campus Ministries in Corpus Christi, received 10 years probation after sexually abusing an underage family member.

Speaking from personal experience as a victim of CSA by a family member, I'd bet everything I have that there was some very heavy guilt tripping or other manipulation going on here.

What the fuck?

According to his indictment, Robinson sexually abused an underage family member between July 11, 2015 and June 27, 2022. The arrest affidavit states the sexual contact with the child began when she was nine.
Seriously, what the fuck? Don't we have enhanced charges for sexual abuse of children that young? How is this sicko only getting probation?

Also had this thought. Families are oddly protective of abusers and minimize the victim's abuse.

Yeah, I'd guess uncle too. I served as a juror on a pedophile case like 6 or 7 years ago. That guy's victims were his nieces and the daughters of family friends. But with that case, he was sentenced to enough jail time that he'd have to live until like 130 to get out.

The thing is, church attendance has been dropping like a rock for decades now, and people will often cite the Church's sexual scandals as a reason. And yet, the Right still can't just say it out loud. They will go after and project onto drag shows, because in their worldview, the Church is right and good, and drag shows are a corruption and go against the grain. So accepting that little kids would be far safer being read books in a library by a queen than in church is an impossibility for them.

To admit it would be akin to admitting their entire existence and world view is wrong.
