Their latest and greatest update swaps out the side panel icon for a new icon inviting you to get all of your music and videos in one spot. That is to say that they rotate out every 30 seconds or so.

So, while you're clicking away on a message board or watching a video, you have a rotating icon actively calling your attention to the toolbar. It's like watching TV and having an update every 30 seconds that tells you what you could be watching on other channels.

It's pretty inconvenient too since you can't trigger the icon to pop up. It only shows up when it wants to. (Just in case you wanted your music when they wanted you to have it, you can click the icon when it pops up.) And you can't customize the toolbar either. I guess this means I'll be using Firefox as my primary browser instead -- unless somebody has a better suggestion.

Man Chrome's staff has gotten way to cocky if they thought they could get away with some of the stuff they have been trying.

They can though, because the vast majority won't care enough to complain or will actively use it.

And where would that "spot" be? Considering the vast majority of the music I listen to in only on CD and isn't on anything streaming or digital.

What should I have switched over to? I do my streaming services on Microsoft Edge and my general browsing on Chrome. That could very well change in the immediate future though.

I still have CDs, but my car radio is the only device that I can currently play them on.

Why anybody is still using shit Chrome in this day and age I shall never know!

Although in saying that I haven't exactly been happy with a lot of stuff that Firefox has introduced or tried to ram down our throats over the years. Luckily there are ways you can turn those things off in Firefox.

I just remember why I left Firefox. They changed to a BULKY task bar / search bar.

Did they ever clear that up?

They did, although it was always modifiable to not be bulky anyway. That's like half the point of firefox.

Edge | Chrome | Firefox

https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/a/forum/3/3a66a467.png

It looks like Firefox is every-so-slightly less bulky than Chrome. However, that square tab is an eyesore. It calls attention to itself in both its garish design and its bright white hue matched against a more subtle gray backdrop.

I want a taskbar to do all but disappear when I'm browsing the internet. I can't believe I'm saying this but, visually, Microsoft Edge is the best one.

Wait, doesn't Edge come in black by default, now? Do you purposely switch to white?

I see now that the problem is not with any particular browser.

Can someone please explain what the utter fuck this laugh riot @FortuneCookie is on about?

This is my Firefox:

https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/a/forum/d/d4381d61.jpg
I do not understand what he/she is referring to as "bulky"! I think my Firefox looks very nice.

Oh and what sad utterly miserable excuses FortuneCookie have come up with to knock a browser.

I couldn't care less what Firefox looks like as long as they let me have my ad blockers, my themes, my add-ons and care about peoples security unlike the fucking shit Chrome who do not give a shit about their customers, only care about making money, do not care about peoples security and only care about ramming ads down peoples throats.

It matches your system theme

Anyway

  1. Firefox
  2. Edge
  3. poop
  4. Chrome

theres no reason to use anything other than Firefox or Edge. Edge is actually decent, at least until manifest 2.0 or whatever where adblockers will break

the only thing I really miss moving from Edge to Firefox is vertical tabs and auto-browser logon/sync

From here: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/browsers/compare/

Seeing that it really does boggle my mind how anyone can use that utter shit joke of a browser in Chrome.

Even the once derided and laughed at Microsoft browsers are more secure than Chrome.

As you can see by that all Google care about is money and ramming ads down peoples throats.
