I cannot eat corn unless I am eating it directly off the cob. I love corn on the cob and its one of my favorite things to eat during the warm month of the year. But when I see loose corn, I psychologically associate it with human fecal matter, and my brain cannot picture anything else. Rather strange behavior for someone who spent the first 18 years of his life on a farm.

Im from Iowa. Literally the best place on earth for corn on the cob. You would love summer here. All the best farms send pickup trucks out to sell sweet corn at roadside stands.

Oh, I grew up 3 miles from the Iowa border. I am well acquainted with your states maize miracles.

I eat my cereal dry with milk on the side. I hate soggy cereal so I just drink the milk like a regular drink.

I eat the side dish first, every time.

When I cook I like to mix everything together, things which usually people would eat separately.

If there are multiple different foods, I eat them in order; no switching back and forth between them. Like, I'll eat chicken nuggets, then french fries, then cheeseburger in that order. Or peas, then hash browns, then kielbasa.

If I get off my meds for a few weeks, I can fully restore my ability to just eat indefinitely. Something which I really want to avoid, because I no longer have the powerful metabolism of a young man.

I wait for hot food to become cold and cold food to become warm.

People always point out that I leave one morsel of food left of a meal, to the point I've jokingly called it "last bite syndrome." I also leave beverages in bottles with 1/32nd of their liquid remaining all over for some reason. Maybe it's a Freudian way of not wanting the good times to truly end...or something.

When my nephew came to live with me, I noticed he did this as well. He had at least 5 opened bottles of water in the room he was staying in, at various remaining quantities.

add salt. regardless of how much salt there may be.

I always cut my corn off the cob so it doesn't get stuck in my teeth. Cut close to the cob and it comes off like bark and doesn't look like poo corn.

When the bottle ain't cold anymore, it's dead to me.

After eating fresh Iowan corn on the cob, I can't eat it anywhere else. Nothing compares.

Anyway, I like for my food and beverage to run out at the same time, preferably with the final bite of food being the most flavorful bit of my favorite item in the meal. Just gotta end on a strong note.

Its not that strange but everyone around me doesnt understand how I can eat mashed potatoes without gravy or even butter. I dislike gravy but I love mashed potatoes

Ketchup on nuggets and dippers but not on popcorn chicken

Imitation crab meat with wasabi

Adding a few splashes of Worcestershire sauce to a bowl of white rice and stirring ice cream scoops into more of a soft serve are the only two I can think of. Though I know one of my cousins does the ice cream thing too.

I usually will not drink the milk out of a cereal bowl. The thought grosses me out for some reason (I think it's the soggy cereal, primarily). If I do drink it, I use a spoon. Otherwise I pour it down the sink.

I cut the corn off the cob.
I always eat salad in a separate bowl.
I never put milk on cereal and I eat it out of the box.

I have to eat every dish evenly. I don't get how people eat things one at a time.

I can't eat "thick" link sausages unless I can wrap bread around it.

There was a period where I'd add mixed nuts/peanuts to everything just for extra protein/fullness. I especially enjoyed it with mashed potatoes.

It's fine, part of my bloodline is Irish. I get a pass to do whatever I want with potatoes.

I prefer my oysters slightly grilled.

I grew up eating rice with milk. Everyone in college who saw me eating it reacted like I was eating roadkill or something, and I was never really sure if they actually thought it was weird or if they were just fucking with me.

Historically speaking, Ireland is very much willing to fight Ireland.

Rice with milk is good though. I liked to use condensed milk with a little butter and sugar.

I also like to keep some rubber gloves around for eating certain foods at home. Like wings, bbq sandwich ect.

Another one: My brain finds the texture of coconut so revolting that if I were to eat an Almond Joy or German chocolate cake, I would vomit within five seconds.

I don't really care for the flavor but I can deal with it.

Fucking hate everything about eating actual coconut.

I remember when I was in middle school and had recently moved to Virginia, and everyone thought it was disgusting that I put mustard on hot dogs

Not really a habit, but when I have to go out for it I generally end up with warm beer and cold food when I get back home or wherever I'm going.

It's something my mother used to make. I really enjoyed it. Haven't had it in a couple years, though.

I've got another one; I microwave ice cream so that it's a little melty. Love me some melty ice cream.

I like dipping regular potato chips into A1 steak sauce. Also using cottage cheese and Chicken in a biscuit crackers as a chips and dip combo.
