Feels like at the time people were like "ZOMG This is the greatest ever show of all time!" like people say for Breaking Bad, The Wire, Sopranos, Fargo.

And yet it feels like I haven't heard anyone mention it once in the past 15 years.

Yes, it is very good.
I think I have Season two on DVD, which I got from a gamestop ironically.

It has one of the best final episodes.....with only the exception, that to me it comes off as a car commercial in the final seconds.

Still it ties things up nicely.

In some alternative universe Dexter was a flop that didn't get past Season 1 and everyone knows Michael C Hall from SFU

SFU and Mad Men are like two of the most critically popular shows of all time that I've never seen.

I mention it everytime show recommendations come up. I have a propensity to enjoy most of the HBO original series shows that come on. There have been a lot I enjoyed but honestly this one is near the top.

I really enjoyed the premise of the show and was hooked from episode 1 and ended up really enjoying all the different characters too. Great show. To this day whenever I watch anything with Michael C. Hall in it, even if its another major series like Dexter I still think of him first from Six Feet Under.

I don't remember the show enough to know exactly why, but I remember thinking it was spinning its wheels pretty damn hard somewhere in the middle of the show. I never finished it.

All I ever see is people praising the finale which makes me think I wasn't alone in believing this.

Maybe its premise doesn't lend itself to as much discussion. Breaking Bad, The Wire, and Sopranos. Are all crime drama type of shows with a lot of violent conflict going on. I think even Dexter in its prime got brought up more than SFU due to the vigilante justice going on in that show.

The same is true, imo, with The Sopranos.
They are both fantastic, but the middle arc gets a bit Soap Opera like.

Best series finale I have ever seen. Absolutely nailed it.

No. One of the few Jason Bateman movies I haven't seen yet.

I watched the first two seasons multiple times before I got bored and moved on. Then during Covid I decided to power through it and am glad I did. It was fantastic.
