If Bruce Wayne was 25 for his debut as Batman he'd be turning 110 this year. So safe to say he'd be dead. Clark Kent would be around the same but who knows how he'd age.

Peter Parker could potentially still be around at 77 years old. Although surely he'd be retired as Spider-man.

Homer and Marge Simpson would be 68 now. Bart would be 44, Lisa would be 42 and Maggie would be in her mid thirties. They could potentially have a huge family reunion at this point.

Even Bluey would currently be 11 years old. Peppa Pig would be in her mid-twenties.

What other examples are there?

Kinda funny to think about how a few of these characters have actually needed to change to stay modern. The really old ones were created under very different times.

I think Savage Dragon goes off of real time. Someone born after the series was a few years old is now around 30ish in comics and you literally see her grow up in the comics. His son is grown up and took his place a long time ago.

I havent read it in years, but I think its still the case from covers I see.

Marvel did this for Peter Parker in a comic miniseries. It is called Spider-Man Life Story. 6 issues. Each issue is in a different decade from 60s to 2010s. It is actually very good. Anyone who likes Spider-Man would enjoy it

Also, going by their original birth years (which have understandably been retconned out), here are the Street Fighter II characters.

Ryu - 59 (will be 60 in July)
Ken - 59
Chun-Li - 56
Guile - 63
E. Honda - 63
Zangief - 67 (68 in June)
Blanka - 58
Dhalsim - 72
Sagat - 68 (69 in July)
Cammy - 50
Fei Long - 54 (will be 55 next month)
T. Hawk - 64 (will be 65 in July)
Dee Jay - 63
Balrog - 55
Vega - 57

Akuma from what I found has a completely unknown birthdate, and M. Bison just has a month and day (April 17).

They were eight. It lines up with an early episode, where one of Cartman's potential fathers were the 1989 Denver Broncos, so he was conceived in 1989. They'd be the same age as Taylor Swift.

The cops in Peppa Pig are Officer Panda and Officer Squirrel.

I've heard stories of people playing the Peppa Pig music for cops entering nightclubs and stuff like that. Maybe that's what you're thinking of.

I've seen the image. I guess it was somebody's attempt at meme humor. The Pepa Pig style is easy to emulate -- especially in the eyes of someone who never watched the show. But I swear I recall somebody mentioning that Daddy Pig was a pun.

Is there any other cartoon pig whose father is a police officer? Maybe I got my wires crossed somewhere.

Tidus would now be 40, and a similar grizzled old veteran to how Auron is portrayed at the ripe old age of 35. Wakka would be 46.

Actually in both of those cases I could be out by a year since I don't remember if FFX was 2000 or 2001.

Resident evil characters actually do age in real time.

Sadly I sometimes wonder if the real time aging thing is a possible reason capcom does not use jill nowhere near as much as they do chris when it comes to showing up in the actual main resident evil games alot. How some of these japanese companies have a reluctance to use older female characters outside of some sort of power/method that keeps them young looking like with soul calibur's ivy.

Speaking of which, it actually was known that bandai-namco did not want to use the classic female characters for the time-skip game soul calibur 5 outside of said super power eternal youth female characters like ivy and tira (age unknown in soul calibur 5, lol). Just gave them all successors, =/, and so they went through the effort of making a brand-new timeline with part 6 just to get the classic characters back to being young and for taki and sophitia to return, lol.

It's the same problem Hollywood has. Once an actress passes a certain age she is no longer lead/supporting lead/love interest material and at this point has to take on the role of "the old witch." Sometimes literally. Some manage to delay this fate though. Charlize Theron is still doing pretty well for herself.

Of course, given that in the canon of Baum's original Oz books (as well as those of his immediate successor, Ruth Plumly Thompson), nothing ages or dies in the magical land of Oz, thanks to the Fairy Queen Lurline, as per The Tin Woodman of Oz, and that the Gales packed up and moved to Oz full-time in the earlier The Emerald City of Oz, it's possible that she's still alive today.

Apparently James Bond is in his mid-thirties.

His debut book was 1953. So if he was 35 he'd be born in 1918. So he'd be 106.

Of course movie wise the comparison would be Sean Connery. Who would be turning 94 this year if he was still alive.

One thing that's a little bit interesting is that it seems like characters from around the 1930s onwards tend to be timeless instead of being seen as a period piece. Like yeah there are modern adaptations of Sherlock Holmes and Tarzan but I think most people would still think of that original incarnation. I'm guessing the rules around public domain, American copyright and how corporations began to protect and hold into their brands influence this more than anything.
