before someone asks. Ex is in parentheses, because while weve had multiple conversations about a future together and have been casually seeing each other for about 3 years now she was never officially my girlfriend. We just have the emotional connection and baggage of long term exs.

Got all my stuff back yesterday.

It Also came with an apology, she apologized for lying to me, admitted it was wrong and basically said she was scared of me being jealous, and feels like my reaction to everything validates her concerns, even though she was still wrong to lie in the first place.

I had to also apologize i did blow up and get angry and make alot of assumptions. I assumed because she lied about one thing she lied about everything and reacted accordingly.

I didnt apologize for actually getting mad and I felt like shes putting more stock into me being mad cause I was jealous and less stock into me being mad about her.

she also got upset and felt like I was being a hypocrite because it came out I was dating other people while we where dealing with each other, despite how much I was saying I loved her especially when we first started dating. Which is something I never hide but was never transparent about.

Dont know if well ever speak again but we will see.

Well at least you didnt have to threaten to sue her again. Looking forward to the future update about the situation.

That really pissed her off she knew shed probably win but the fact I was willing to drag it out.

once she stopped being mad and just dealt with the hurt she felt it was right to give it back.

I would agree. I ended up letting her keep everything that was a gift and taking back all my stuff that was borrowed.

But my entire point was she lied to get it in the first place so I dont think it was right for her to get to keep it.

Yeah, that one is weird... because I always heard it used directly for giving something and then taking it back. Always the explanation I was given for it too, saying you are giving something to someone and then reneging on it.

this actually the first time I straight up just dont trust her regarding somethings.

Ive felt like she was conflicted about things in the past. But i genuinely feel like shes lied and its kinda messed alot up

So we kinda left the convo feeling like an actual relationship with us is almost off the table, as we have so much baggage.

While also admitting the things wed want out of each other to be in a relationship would realistically take a year or two too accomplish.

I have a friend who got all his appliances and electronics taken by his ex-g/f and her adult son after they got kicked out. The cops said it was a civil matter. He like had no fridge or stove or laundry for months until he could afford to replace them. He's lucky they were too lazy to take the hot water tank.

So I was prepared to do that, she actually wouldnt mail me my stuff back like I originally asked and basically held it hostage until she saw me in person.

By that time I had calmed down a little bit and our mutual friends had given me some advice and we ended up having a heart to heart convo that we both ended up crying during.

Shes young and shes doing the dumb things youd expect from someone her age.(in her position I would of lied about the same thing, just I would of either lied better or came clean earlier). So like as much as I refuse to let her walk over me i do understand it.

So like well see what happens as she grows as a person but I dont really have my hopes up.

Im genuinely unsure about how angry Im supposed to be about the situation.

i go from livid to to really it is what it is about the situation.

Like she lied, she lied badly, and she lied unnecessarily.

But she did what most people would do in that exact situation, especially at that age.

Thats not to say Ill ever fully forgive her or I think we can be cool again.

Im aware. The fact that thats what I would typically do In a situation like this Is what makes this complicated.

But she did something that youd honestly expect of someone whos still trying to figure themselves out. And I knew she was at that phase in her life from the jump. So like idk if I should hold it against her, especially since she offered to give everything back.

Im also under no obligation to forgive her anytime soon. So we will see.
