I'm thinking of sending the Shiny Lillipup I got in Black to Y version to use it on a run since Lillipup and its evolutions aren't found in Kalos at all, much less shiny.

The only Shiny Pokemon I've gotten were garbage ones

Just red Garydos

Think I used Red Gyarados at one point, but it not having bad Special Attack and no flying moves made me bench it.

Red Gyarados and a Starmie by chance.

Mhmm lots of times. My entire violet file is shinies. Lots from that game and then some I transfered recently from platinum

This. All shinies I catch I leave as UT for trade value. When I played competitive in gen 4 I usually didn't have shinies on my team, but if I did the shinies were hacked using Pokesav.

In scarlet I found caught and used a shiny shinx and was on my main team the *whole way thu ,it's the first shiny that's not red gyarados I ever caught and I have been playing since red ,I always had bad luck like killing them with a critical hit or just ran out of pokeballs

Excluding guaranteed shinies (like the Red Gyarados) or increased odds shinies (like the odd egg in Crystal) I've only used a shiny in a playthrough once. It was a full-odds shiny Spearow that I caught very early on during my very first playthrough of Sun when gen 7 came out. Usually I box shinies I catch and leave them untouched until after I finish the playthrough and decide what I want to do with them, but catching a full-odds shiny that early in my very first playthrough of a new generation gave it some sentimental value and made me want to use it as part of the team.
