I bought something called Blue Bunny soft serve which is pretty good. Ice cream in a tub and its already creamy. I ate some once and then I go and I open the freezer and take it out and its only been maybe less than a week and the top is white and looks like there's white hairs on it or something. I can't tell if its mold or just my imagination...

Has ice cream ever gone bad this quickly? O.o

Odd. Yeah I went and read that it isn't mold but damn...freezer burn. How does that tend to happen? I'd like it to not happen next time because my sweet tooth was acting up

thanks, I'll know for next time. I don't think I can trust it though. It looks weird...like hair. I've seen ice but never sticking out like fungus or something. I'm going to do my best to keep it from happening next time. Its just weird because its never happened before but this is a new thing and its already sorta melted? Its creamy and not solid and it wasn't melting when I put it away so i wonder if I should just stick to regular ice cream.

Also make sure the lid is put back tight when putting it back into the freezer.

It also seems to just naturally happen over time once you've opened the seal. I try to finish off any opened ice cream within a week

I made sure to do that because I put it on at first and it felt like it was loose so I turned it because I think it needed to be clicked on. It makes me also wonder if its something to do with my freezer too. Sometimes it feels like some of my products aren't frozen anymore but then later on its solid like it cuts off and on.
