I dont even get why people like going to them in Mexico and can stay the whole vacation in the resort. Its the most boring type of vacation.
Id rather go outside the resort and explore the country, check out the tourist attract, and find the local places to eat there (instead of the resort buffets) --- Pinoy Pride, 1988 - the day I die! ... Copied to Clipboard!

It really all depends on what type of person you are, and what you're looking for in a vacation.
Some just want to "shut down" for a few days. Not worry about who's cooking dinner, who's doing laundry, who's going to cover their work. Other's look for adventures and thrills. Counter point to your OP, some people don't want to have that feeling of needing "a vacation after their vacation" becasue their actual vacation was spend on their feet or at the mercy of the clock because events and excursions were at certain times. --- It takes zero effort to be a good person. ... It's definitely good for shorter vacations where you won't get to explore much. But I only do those to places I've been to before.

just go on google images then If that was good enough, you never even need to go on vacation in the first place BearlyWilling posted... Why whine about something you can afford anyway, OP? Deny. I feel like when I go on vacation I want to do nothing which is why resorts would likely be my ideal vacation. My family did the whole "let's have a crazy itinerary and do a bunch of shit every day" and I got done with the vacation and I felt exhausted instead of relaxed.

Nah resorts are based. They actually feel like a vacation. Walking around somewhere else for hours a day and taking pictures of monuments or whatever is quite un-vacation like
