I'm not saying use macros. More so with KB+M has the stratagem input binds the same as movement so you can't move while calling in stratagems. Higher level content will have you constantly moving so not that safe to be stopped for a second or two.

I find I'm enjoying myself less and less each time I play. Helldivers 2 isn't quite what I want it to be, but I'm not 100% sure what I want it to be...

I think a big factor is that there is little to no progression to be had for me. I'm at level 10 and I feel like, Idk, except for a couple of strategems I've got everything I want to play with already. There's little customization, so few guns to play with, and the gameplay loop is pretty repetitive. It's fun in ways but very barebones.

It's also pretty difficult yet not enjoyable enough for me to justify the time and effort to git gud at it. I've played plenty of games that were hard but I enjoyed trying to get better; I'm so indifferent to this game. Also I don't have a solid group to play with and it has been a fucking struggle even at challenging difficulty with randoms. Then us randoms all wipe, on a low-mid difficulty, and for what? 20 or 30 minutes out of the couple of hours a night I have to play, just gone. Nothing but frustration. My time is too precious at this point in my life (hell I've been saying that for 6 or 7 years) and I don't want to spend it losing with nothing to show for it. At its very worst, even in CoD I'm at least inching toward a camo unlock or something.

That said, I'm not much for talking while I game so I prefer to play with randoms that I don't need to speak to. I admit that just sounds like a simple "this game isn't for you" but I mean there are coop games where you can do quite a lot only solo. Speaking of CoD, MW3's zombies mode is a good example. I soloed almost all of it. But this is just one of those games where the ceiling is pretty low unless you have a team of good players with good comms. Or unless you're damn good. I've seen a video of a guy soloing the highest difficulty and absolutely hell no. I don't hate the game at all but I think I'm going to play very sparingly for the time being, hopefully new things will come and make it worth my while.

Yeah it's kinda crazy lol. Lots of "us vs them" mentality.

Like I said before on here, I don't mind nerfs as long as they're reasonable. The breaker and shields were good examples of that. But nerfing things like the railgun doesn't respect the player's time and efforts for putting the currency in to buy stuff. Lower the railgun's max ammo. Decrease it's damage to regular enemies. Heck, even make it need a backpack. But nerfing it's ability to strip armor which is supposed to be it's specialty rubs me and a lot of the community wrong.

And there could be good discourse on the matter. But reddit and the Internet as it is, a lot of it is devolving into arguments and flaming. Even the devs are falling into it and Arrowhead CEO had to apologize for him.

Yeah the community on the subreddit right now is a real cess pit. It's a shame ONE fucking balance patch has sent everyone over the edge, and the dev responding by trolling isn't any good.

Thus is the issue with a super popular game, one mistake and everyone becomes screeching babies.

Did anyone else not get the medals from the last Major Order? I logged in today, went to to the console to get the congrats message but...nada. Restarted my game also and nothing.

Also my personal order is Kill 2 Bile Titans. And I joined a game where the objective was to kill 1. Pretty sure I did as my orbital laser was on it for a damn long time and hit it with an impact grenade around the time it died but...it didn't register for some reason?

I addressed it earlier in the topic

Premium currency you can unlock through the standard warbond itself

As well as find it lying around while doing missions

And I'm sure that getting them as rewards for major/personal orders wouldn't be out of the question also

You can play the game totally free after the initial $40 or whatever you get the game at. It's a live service game done right.

It's doing several things to make you not hate it and the time sink it requires. The best thing is that everything is permanent, namely, the premium warbonds. You will be able to unlock them at any point so long as you have the currency to do so. You can spend money to unlock it, but you still need medals to actually get anything and that requires you to play the game.

It is very fun to play, very generous with the currencies, and has no form of FOMO other than wanting to invade the new planets before they are won or lost. It's GaaS done right

I find the effect is rather negligible though. Nice to have in snow planets, but not really mandatory like the snow boots in the first game

Muscle enhancement doesn't work on traps like barbed wire (automatons), poison traps (bugs), and the shrubs or small trees. It does allow you to run through knee high water and snow with no penalty. Running up and down hills at full speed gives you better survival options.

Ammo (full ammo is a must) > Stamina (max sprint is worth it) > Muscle (being able to run up steep hills without losing stamina gives more survivability) = Vitality (approximately 30% bonus HP) > UAV (? appear on map) > Increased Reinforcement Budget (+1 reinforcement per person so 6/12/18/24) > Flexible Reinforcement Budget (decreases cooldown of depleted reinforcements from 2:00 to 1:45)

Scout armor perk allows the user to ping random spots to see if enemy pods are there. The booster makes it easier to navigate since it outright drops a ? on the map once in range if planet doesn't have a scramble effect on the map

How?

You have a rocket launcher.

Doing rocket launcher things, like destroying heavy targets, but being slow in handling and reloads.

Then you have the railgun.

Making it more powerful in damage won't make it that more effective, because it already works against armor good enough.

"Just buff everything else" is silly when the room for buffs isn't there anyways.

When the venn diagramm of "enemies player may struggle against" and "enemies that are effectivly taking out by railgun" is nearly a circle, the issue is the railgun.

No buff will ever make the EAT or Recoilless more effective against bile spewer, devestators or strider than the railgun is even after the nerf.

From the lower end of Strider, Brood Commander or Bile Spewer, over Devastators and Chargers, even up to Hulks and Bile Titans, the railgun was ALWAYS the most effective support weapon. Not just "effective" as in "could be used" but simply the best, sometimes by far, even from the front.

The auto cannon is great against multiple medium targets, but has a slow reload, and can harm the bigger ones only from behind because the shells bounce of otherwise.

The rocket launchers are great against heavy targets, even from the front, also have a slow reload, making it terrible against multiple enemies.

The railgun was, and still is, both. It can take out multiple medium targets, it can still take out the heavy targets from the front (just not as easy as before), and it still has the fast reload while running.

So please tell me how you want to buff the EAT or recoilless.

Ah okay thank you. The vitality one confused me because I believe that's the one that says something about preventing injuries right? Because every time I'd use it, I'd still get injured sometimes lol

I also always thought that was only something like extra limb HP, or lower chance to get a injured leg.

I'm close to get the muscle enhancement, and now we will have to discuss in our squad which boosters we actually use.

We are only 3 people in our usual squad, and full ammo is a must, and stamina is also very nice to have, so there isn't that much room for discussion anyways. I'm curious if the next pass will also give us an interesting booster.

Last game on bugs I went arc thrower, laser dog, AC sentry and rocket sentry. Arc and Dog cleaned up mobs nicely and dropped the sentries when heavies came in. Felt really good

While you're in aim mode, click your right analog stick. That lets you go in first person mode and you can actually see your charge meter (better). Just don't let that meter get fully full or you go splody splode. Practice in this mode some and you'll get a hang of the charge up time before you explode.

Yeah it's not really for charger killing. It's more for killing trash up to mediums (love using it against bile speakers). That's why I was using my AC and Rocket sentries for heavy encounters
