But that just made it more magical when it was working. Mine was a close-knit community, and it would bring everyone out to socialize. It was weird the one time we recognized her elsewhere not working the ice cream truck since she was the sole ice cream truck driver for as long as I can remember, and thus "hey, it's the ice cream lady".
