I ask these people how they would go about living as a capitalist under a communist or highly socialist they disagree with.

The notion that socialism isn't possible as a lifestyle nor a practice is entirely fanciful. We have even had the government enact socialist adjacent policies.

Besides, no one asked him to "live as a socislist". But he's not simply existing in the capitalist zeitgeist, you could argue he is thriving in it and wholeheartedly supporting its continued existence in his lifestyle. I dotn see Greta thunberg driving bugattis, wearing designer clothes and whatnot.

Theres entire magnitudes of degree to which someone can exist within a capitalist environment without doing what he's doing. It would be like comparing me to Elon Musk because I own a smartphone.

I ask these people how they would go about living as a capitalist under a communist or highly socialist they disagree with.

Its basically happened before. You theoretically could do if you to remove ethics from the equation and create value out of your capital via exploration rather than engaging with the rest of the system.

But that's also not the point is it? Because that assumes capitalism and socialism are opposite equals, and they really aren't. Cspitalism for all of its flaws alloedna large amounf of individual discretion in how exuberant they make their life out to be, provided they have enough wealth to provide for the basics. If I have 5 million dollars, I dont HAVE go buy a million dollar home. I csn live in the exact same apartment and drive the exact same car I currently do.

You're making the same mistake many othes are, equating participation and active patronage. Everyone has to participate, not everyone has to do what Hasan is doing, even if they are able to. And again, its not so much that he is committing heinous crimes of exploitation but that all of his moral grandstanding on his platform rings hollow when you see how he lives.

Hypcorisy doesn't require a certain level of scale if just requires that you dont live up to the principles you mete out. You're employing the same logic people do when they say folks who say defend the police shouldn't call the police when there's a crime. Its a strawman.
