It is tough man. Back in the day I could easily walk away from drinking for months on ends. Now it's a struggle to get through a day

I could really use a drink right now myself to calm my anxiety down but Ive drank like a fish for 10 years, it sounds like you have too. Lets let our livers heal and our minds work without drinking depressants.

Healthy liver, healthy mind, better looking bodies and a more optimistic future ahead of us man, keep it up

I can't eventually sleep drinking. I get 4 hours best. Only difference drinking makes is how long I stay awake.

It's been this way for 2 years. Sober or drunk I wake up wide awake after 4 hours

I just hit two weeks today. By far the longest I've gone in years. I was doing 8-12 IPAs every night. Lately I've just started to feel like I'm dying. The constant stomach ache. The dehydration and elevated blood pressure. The cost adds up quickly and I have a lot of debt to pay off.

It feels weird buying, but I've been sprinkling in Athletic non-alcoholic beer to help with the cravings. That with gummies have definitely helped.

I'm debating on if I can ever drink again without spiraling back to every day drinking. In my head I think I'll be okay if I just limit it to concerts and shit like that, but limits have never been my strong point.

The last time I quit I made it two years. Went out for wings and to watch the Penguins win the Cup. Decided I could have a few beers. Never stopped after that. I guess that would have been mid 2017.

Have you tried sparkling water tc? For certain people it can sort of satiate the craving a bit.

Have you been running into problems besides your liver with alcohol lately?

Sorry to hear that. I can go months without drinking. Never really been my vice. It tastes bad and I hate having to walk the tight rope of not getting sick. I am currently in the process of making the decision to quit marijuana though, so I get you. Do you want to quit completely?

I drink heavily on the weekends and I've recently developed crippling anxiety due to this I believe. Trying to cut back now though.

But yeah, the anxiety, it's like nothing I've ever experienced before. Way more intense than any kind of social anxiety I've ever had throughout my life. It's an everpresent dread that makes anything good null and void.

For some of us it makes life more fun/bearable. Im more envious of people who dont have that requirement.

Ive learned its all or nothing for me sadly. Just one or two never works out, and if I somehow do drink just a couple one day. Its like, that wasnt that bad, and the next day Ill do it again but even more.

Cycle continues.

exactly. I nursed two drinks for like 2 hours. I was thinking maybe I have a grip now. But then I had a rather good day at work, decided it was time to celebrate and went hard. Woke up hating myself.

I'm lucky I'm not into alcohol. I have a super addictive personality so I'd probably have a hard time stopping if I actually liked it very much. Now soda on the other hand..

Yeah for me if I cut back and take time away and say I'll just drink once in awhile. I'll do that but then after the day I drank I'm like I didn't have as much fun as I coulda let's try again
