Nah, it's going to be later than 16. At 16 they still live at home and their primary influence will still be their parents. There's a reason conservatives complain about their kids "going off to college and coming back woke." In most cases you need to remove the negative parental influence before the deprogramming can be effective.

Yeah, even once youre away from the bad influences, it takes time to undo years of conditioning.

I moved out of my parents' house at 16, and while that was certainly a period of rapid growth for me, it probably took until my mid-twenties to undo most of the damage living with them had done.
