That VAR decision against Pool is well n truly game being gone

Liverpool has been so unfortunate with decisions today.

Kelleher has been an absolute beast.

for a 0-0 this has been wildly entertaining

VVD is such an incredible player.

Yeah I haven't ever been a Liverpool fan, but the team is generally likeable. Klopp era has been nothing short of impressive and I'm happy if his final season doesn't go trophyless.

Plus, I don't like Chelsea very much.

There's just something about watching real fans with a real fanbase celebrate success.

Chelsea and City's plastic wins always feel so soulless. You could see it in extra time and now, the Liverpool fans are real, the genuine article. Same way Arsenal fans are. Same way United fans are.

City and Chelsea are corporate projects with a bunch of gloryhounds and it bleeds into the way they support their team. When Liverpool needed a lift in extra time, the scousers stepped up and the only thing you heard for 10 minutes was their allez allez. I didn't hear a fucking peep from the blue side of the ground all game long.

Chelsea is trash

I've been watching Arsenal play football for nearing on 20 years now. The 07/08 team that fell just short in the league played the best football I've ever seen. The movement and passing they frequently pulled off, the free-flowing free-scoring. It was poetry in motion at times with Fabregas, Hleb, Adebayor, all of them having the shackles off with the departure of Henry.

But as good as they played, they were NEVER as dominant as we look right now. The way we strangle the life out of teams and let them have absolutely NOTHING is incredible. We're not just doing it to the poorer sides, too. We've done it to Liverpool and City this year.

I am so proud of what Arteta and the boys have accomplished and how we play. It's incredible to watch and it feels so rewarding after some of the darker years.

But now, get it over the line. Be consistent. Stay healthy. And win trophies. You don't want to end up just another footnote like that 07/08 team that ALMOST won things. I do think we'll be getting some players back in the next few weeks that could have a big part to play. I am so, so excited for what's to come.

Everton appeal is heard and 4 points of their deduction are shaved off, putting them into safety.... for now?

It's so infuriating.

Why can't you go back and apply their punishment to last year? Or hit them THIS season to take them out of the title race? (Not saying I actively want this. I want Arteta to beat Pep and Klopp at full power in the same year)

But little Everton who CAME CLEAN and admitted their mistake get the hammer brought on them immediately.

I mean there is a date set for the City stuff, it is more complicated so it takes longer.

I think people just don't have much faith in City being given a sporting punishment that actually sticks. Fines just get easily absorbed.

That's exactly how I feel about it. It's the same with any of the big clubs, nothing is ever going to stick regardless of how much they ignored financial fair play.

City are probably the worst offenders but I'm also sure there's plenty of other big clubs who are guilty of breaches and aren't even being charged. If City were treated the same way they were talking about treating Everton and double charging them for the same time period, then they basically should have had multiple points deductions every year and should have just been thrown out for the sheer amount of offenses committed if they are indeed guilty of that many. Of course that's not going to happen.

They're going to end up with a fine at worst because the league won't be able to or won't want to fight them on any long drawn out legal battle that would definitely happen with any punishment that actually matters.

its not outlandish to think they just get off with a fine that matters little to them

The Arsenal fanbase has like 40% of people that are Arteta Out, and are actively licking their lips waiting for us to not win a trophy so they can pile on about it when we're playing by far the best football in the league right now and challenging in the craziest title race of the last decade. We gave you 105m for Decs, you should be raking in money hand over first due to the money from the Europa League, and there's still a chance you could finish in a Conference League spot this season. You should be more than fine if you just recruit properly.

The main problem last season was your asshole front office dicking Arsenal around so long with the Rice deal that you then didn't have time to turn and invest any of the money.

With the Everton point reduction reduction, it's a real bummer seeing the promoted teams all in the relegation zone. It's depressing to see how wide the gulf is getting between EPL and the Championship, especially as a fan of a yo-yo team currently in the Championship.

Newcastle only have a chance if they get some of their injured players back and up to speed in a hurry. Also they looked mentally broken the other night, but that could've just been the effect of playing against us.

It's weird that the club everyone thought would be dead set rooted to the bottom, Luton, are giving the most spirited fight to stay up, while clubs who have been in the Premier League before like Sheffield and Burnley are putting up a disgraceful performance.

Don't think this is really the case, it just happens to be a particularly rough set of teams. Nobody expected Luton to stay up, Sheffield United didn't buy anyone at all, and Burnley bought terribly and either lost or sidelined most of their title winning squad.

craziest thing is all three teams from last year who dropped could all come back up!

Only able to half pay attention, but City running rampant. The first goal was beautiful teamwork and passing. Haaland has a hat trick before halftime. Just what the doctor ordered, other than Grealish with an early sub because of an apparent injury.

And Luton pulls one back with a beautiful long range strike...

And another due to defensive stupidity.

And another De Bruyne assist on a Haaland goal. Literally 4 of those (so far).

And as I'm fucking typing this, there's #5 for Haaland. Silva with the assist though.
