My work sent me out to LA a year and a half ago my wife flew out to join me and I extended the stay a day to go to Disneyland. When I went to world it was the same time of year (right around Halloween) a year later it was for a vacation and we stayed at a resort near the park (Coronado Springs). The parks are very similar if all you want to go to are things that exist in both parks like the magic kingdom or Galaxys Edge (star wars land) but I liked Orlando a lot more overall. Felt way less overpopulated and staying at a Disney hotel made it so easy to the parks. Had an app on my phone that was my room key and I could also just look at the bus times.
