Maybe you don't support Harris now but you did claim that Harris was right about religion over on 261 back in the day. I'm not saying you were constantly going on about how great he was but at least once you did agree with him about religion.

Look, I'm just as guilty as anybody of holding positions and beliefs in the past that I'm ashamed of now. But I own up to my mistakes instead of claiming that I've always been 100% right about everything. That's a road that leads to being like Orca at best.

The only time I've heard him talk about religion is bashing muslims on Bill Maher. And I already stated the only thing I've agreed with him on, they need more modern leadership who understands the year and isn't full on Taliban/ISIS with how they treat women.

Those particular leaders don't modernize, because they're more interested in holding power among their own constituents rather than trying to gain widespread support. Same reason why many evangelical and conservative leaders do the same thing.

I understand that completely, it doesn't mean that they don't need to modernize.

The modern Republican platform and the Taliban platform is basically identical. That's a huge red flag for everyone.

As another poster said, they didn't need to cite polls on the matter, as one, polls literally do not fucking matter whatsoever as we've seen the last decade, where polls results are so widely off of reality, they literally don't matter anymore, and secondly, it should be irrelevant at all, to an article that isn't trying to both sides theocracy. But seeing as this is an article, giving credibility to the notion that we are or should be a theocracy, here they are, pretending that they matter.

As a Christian, I don't want the United States to be a Theocracy. Following Jesus should always be a choice, as God intended it to be. Forcing people to be Christians would only make them hate Christianity even more than they already do.
