The actual business ban is a bit of a softball, but for Trump, it'll effectively kill his empire. And no way that asshole is going to be able to bounce back after 3 years before he kicks the bucket. Especially with all of the money he already owes various people and his tarnished reputation with the banks.

And that's not even all of the civil suits Trump is facing. He still has civil suits related to January 6th. I also hope Ruby Freeman and Shaye Moss end up suing him for defamation.

He cant sell that stock. Its possible that he could borrow against the on paper value of the shares, but hed have a hard time finding a bank willing to lend to him.

Putin would likely be barred from any investment in American businesses and Musk is up to his eyeballs in loans over twitter using his Tesla stock as leverage, so he's probably unable to tap into any resources for such a move.

It can be. Appellate court will give significant deference to the trial court's fact finding (that is, in determining credibility and assessing the character of alleged unlawful conduct against the appropriate statute and/or common law). Engoron's ruling will need to be deemed to be against the weight of the evidence for a successful appeal of the judgment itself. Deference is especially great when it's a question of assessing conflicting evidence and testimony.

It looks like this also cannot be wiped away via bankruptcy....

It's also now time to make sure all pressure is on the FEC to watch his campaign money closely for embezzlement. It could be one of the few ways to remain solvent is to skim from the campaign.

The chuds in various places are still complaining there wasn't a jury for this trial, ignoring the fact Trump didn't ask for one.

If Trump never pays, can his kids be forced to pay after his death? Will this haunt his family forever or does the debt get wiped when he dies?

Yes, if Trump can get punished for breaking the law then so can anybody else. That is literally how the law should work. So strange members of the "Party of Law and Order" seem to have a hard time with that.

For a sane person, if it could happen to them, it could happen to Trump. There's always this intentional logic where MAGAs reverse this.

There's also a profound lack of understanding that Trump cannot appeal without putting up the money first. And it's not a fraction like he could do with the defamation ruling.

Very telling that chuds are pretty much avoiding this topic like the plague.
