Anecdotal, but I knew two people who were apolitical and voted for Trump in 2020 because they believed his response to covid was good.

I always felt like covid was the only thing that made him lose. I'm pretty sure that Biden will lose this election because of "but his misspeakings" being spread by tankie ratfuckers and everyone else being too cowardly to fight back.

The 2018 midterms had historically high turnout which favored Democrats. Trump's election had already gotten more people out and involved in politics who didn't like him and what he was doing. It would have been close but I think Biden still would have won in 2020 if covid hadn't happened.

Probably. Incumbents usually win and Biden wasn't polling any better than Hillary did until covid hit, after which he still only won in each swing state by like 50k votes.
