I've never cared in the least. But Super Bowl Sunday is a convenient time to do errands, since so many people are watching it.

If my team isn't in it, I don't really care. If I'm not working, I'll watch it. If I am working I don't care I'm missing it.

Go Chiefs. I made my decision but sometimes like a lot of things depending on the disposition . Less things matter. Also for you only into commercials fans they've probably been on youtube for at least two weeks and sometimes on local TV so what's your excuse? Heh.

I couldn't care less about it. Also don't know why anyone cares about the ads. I hate advertisements and wouldn't willingly subject myself to them. It is nice to go out then since places usually aren't busy, though.

Sure, in the USA and somewhat in Canada. Its a de facto national holiday in the United States.

Granted, past claims about it being watched by literal billions annually was obviously the NFL patting itself on the back. But its been the most-watched thing in the US every year for decades.

I mean, hell

Surprised CBS isn't trying to put it behind a paywall on Paramount plus. The NBC had no problem doing this for playoff games.

Wasn't the Manny Pacquiao & Floyd Mayweather fight pretty big? Or was it locked behind a paywall so it doesn't show here

It was big, but it wasnt Super Bowl big.

Those are the thirty most watched (by number of eyeball) events in American TV history. Combined 9/11 coverage in the immediate aftermath apparently didnt even crack the list, so no surprise that that fight didnt come close to cracking it.

Yes, but a TV movie. You might be thinking of the Day After Tomorrow, which tried to ape this name.

The Day After was a groundbreaking tv movie about the aftermath of a nuclear war, and was really the first widespread public piece of fiction to really delve into the aftermath of such a war, rather than it being an end of things (not saying it was the first, period, but it was the first to really get most people talking. Even Reagan admitted it jump started his push and signing of a major nuclear reduction treaty.

Yea the Day After Tommorow was about a super storm movie released in 2004. Dennis Quiad (sp) was in it. I was looking for a different actor I recognized but I did this real fast.

Some of us don't mind the ball be calling a hand egg. The American Football ( wow that band rules) does involve a lot of hands and less feet.
