Which single player game?

Star Wars Episode 1 Racer. I beat the game on the order of like 20 times by the time I was 8 years old <_<

No idea. Probably Pokemon.

Honestly there were Atari games I played more than 100 hours as a young kid. Too many to name.

Probably Ocarina of Time.

First game I spent over 1000 hours in was GTAO.

No idea. FFT maybe

The Witcher III.

Possibly some RPG in the 90s but can't remember that far back.

Huh, good question. I played even single player games together with my cousin, back in the day. Maybe... Oblivion? Huh.

Either Pokemon or one of the longer N64 games.

OoT is a strong contender.

I believe it was Front Mission 3 that caused me to break that milestone first. Long game and I played through it more than once

i've probably played mario and dkc games for 100 hours. didn't have a huge rotation of games so i beat them over and over. ff7 for sure if you count mario and dkc as multiplayer since you can play 2 players.

Super Mario World probably. If not that then certainly ALttP

I probably put 100+ hours into my favorite 80's arcade games. If it wasn't something like Donkey Kong, (no Super) Mario Bros, Crystal Castle, Flicky or Major Havoc, then it was definitely Black Tiger, Wonder Boy, Goonies or Gauntlet. It was one of those.

Probably FF7, could have been FF8.

Technically FF7 or xenogears would be the actual first "over 100 hours" games, but the in game counter never reached that high.

Probably a Xenoblade game. I might've passed 100 hours on some other game on replays, but I don't remember what.

Pokmon Blue. At least as far as I know, since most games back then didn't keep track of your total play time.

Fallout 3. I started law school and got married in the same month, and that was the start of a three year gaming hiatus. The first hiatus of that sort since I got my Atari 2600 at age 6.

Then I got Fallout 3. Could not believe how vast and immersive gaming worlds had become. Just like that I was hooked again. Max Payne and Fallout 3 (110 hours played) yanked me back into gaming pretty fast.

I wanted to reply to TC directly, because once I started gaming again, my wife and I used to play Mario Kart and Episode 1 podracer to decide who was going to do the dishes, change the cat box etc. Still the best way I have found to resolve chore disputes!

Gonna say probably Super Mario Bros 3 since I played the hell out of it as a kid.

Definitely one of the three Marios on nes back in the late 80s/early 90s.

Probably Morrowind or Ocarina of Time, unless you count multiple playthroughs of the same game, in which case probably FF4 or FF6.

FFX was the first video game I distinctly remember putting over 100 hours into a single playthough.

Of course that became chump change once I got hooked on Oblivion and subsequent Bethesda open worlds.

I'm sure I've played more than 100 hours of Final Fantasy Tactics.

I don't think I played more than 100 hours of Final Fantasy IV before that, but probably came close.

There isn't a single game on my steam catalog I've put more than 100 hours into. I can't stand RPG's, open world, sandbox, crafting or loot grind games. If there's even a sniff of a timesink in it, I'm out of there screaming.

My most played game ever is Crusader Kings 2. Over 966 hours of that played. Yes, those are rookie numbers.

It very likely may be FFVII. I only beat it once back then, but restarted and stopped more times than I can count.

Maybe Pokemon Gold or Crystal, but I'm not certain. The first game I know for certain that I put over 100 hours into is Super Smash Bros. Melee. And while that was mostly playing by myself, I guess it's not technically a single player only game. So if we're talking a strictly single player game, I imagine it must have been either Rome: Total War or Oblivion.
