just wanna know the consensus on here. i don't think i could defeat even a smaller one that weighs half as much as myself. They seem too quick based on a few videos ive seen and they got claws and teeth that i probably won't be able to tank.

Physical Description
Mass : 28 to 90 kg; avg. 59 kg (61.6 to 198 lbs; avg. 129.8 lbs)
Length : 910 to 2920 mm; avg. 1915 mm (35.83 to 114.96 in; avg. 75.39 in)
(taken from: https://carnivora.net/leopard-panthera-pardus-t1804.html)

This the video that makes me think they are too quick for me but maybe someone more fit could handle this type of speed:

Yep saw an old video of a hunter get charged and pounced from tall grass. He ended up with holes in his chest.

Not sure if he survived or not but if a big cat gets you properly, that's pierced and then collapsed lungs, good luck fighting back with that.

If the big cat is declawed then maybe the fight is worth watching since they still have they teeth. The human will still have to wrestle it to death somehow.

Or keep the cat as it is and give the human a baton with those right angled handles, one for each arm and have them with 2 foot blades on the end.

I'd argue thus tiger is playing. It's body language doesn't suggest its aggravated or wants to fight. It's tail It's flicking about aggressively and it doesn't appear to be going for a take down.

If it's a captive tiger, wilhuch it looks like it is, it probably hasn't learned proper hunting skills either. This is not a fair comparison to a wild animal.

The average person wouldn't stand a chance against a big wild cat.

Ah someone already did your topic TC. I don't need to bother with anymore nonsense.
https://carnivora.net/what-is-the-most-powerful-animal-that-a-peak-human-t10220-s165.html

In this topic i had to read some of the most stupid, if not the absolute most stupid things ever written on the internet. This topic is complete proof of the fact most people here watched plenty of MMA in their lifes and at the same time they never saw real animals once outside youtube videos. Someone who has seen in real life an healthy adult Leopard or Puma easily understands how severe most of the nonsense written here are. I read about 130kg humans punching prime male Leopards. I read about 130kg humans picking up and slamming Leopard to the ground.

So basically people in this topic are saying one of the absolute most clumsy and slowest mammals on the planet (a 130 kg human) can easily handle one of the absolute fastest and most explosive mammals on the planet (a Leopard).

So how exactly your 130kg punch is gonna land on the leopard, which by the way is at most 70cm taller of the ground?

How exactly your 130kg Mma clown is gonna pick up something which can climb 15 meters trees in couple seconds? Try pick up your house cat when it doesnt want to get picked up, you ll find out what it means claws stuck in the flesh.

You are talking about one of the most agile, fastest and explosive mammals ever lived like it is some sort of sloth hanging from some branches, ready to be hit and handled by slower than average humans.

Final thing: please for the sake of intelligence stop posting the same FAKE stories about people killing leopards bare handed. Please stop. Those stories are FAKE.
How old are you guys? Below 5?
Dont you realize that at the very minimum autopsy would have been conducted on the Leopards bodies by medical or academic institutions? Dont you realize some universities or researchers over the years would have published detailed articles about this very rare incidents? Dont you realize the only "proof" you have about this stories are shady newspapers without any interview or footage whatsoever?

Do we really need to bring up in 2023 the story of the Russian man chocking the Leopard with his hat or we can move on and recognize when something is total fake stuff?

In a modern world where nobody gives a oh no a swear word anymore about wild animals, people in animal forums instead of writing about the incredible physical feats of wild animals they write how a villager kills leopards bare handed because a shady online newspaper said so.

I hope some of the posters will grow into adults capable of using their brains

Birds are dinosaurs. Crocs are "cousins" at best. While leopards occasionally hunt crocodiles, there's a reason bigger croc species aren't commonly on the menu for leopards.

It's mostly this. If you can keep it from hitting anything vulnerable, arteries and the like, while punching it in the nose over and over it will eventually decide you are too much work and go away. Then you can hopefully try and get medical attention for the cuts you have from it's motherfucking knife hands before you bleed out.

It's also a pet tiger and wasn't really that interested in killing him. I think I remember someone, maybe Steve Irwin's son, saying that tigers are basically housecats x100 so like a swat from a cat that you'd otherwise be able to just ignore would get your ass knocked down by a tiger but they're basically both the same motion and the same intentions.

Woah and that leopard is 80 pounds too and still caused the human guy some damage. They can definitely punch up their weight class.

Ok I think no one can take on a leopard closer to 200 pounds in most cases (healthy and not injured) but smaller leopards definitely can be killed by someone w/ a lot of grit.

This, I think I could hurt it bad enough to give up before it killed me. I think a leopard is agile enough that it would hard for me to kill it barehanded though, there's not much you can do except try to break it's neck.
