Jay-Z took the stage as Beyonc watched from the audience. First of all, thanks to Dr. Dre all the doors that you opened, he said of Dr. Dre. Honored to accept it. He later thanked the Black Music Collective and noted, Hopefully, Im adding to what you guys are doing out here. He then addressed wife Beyonc never winning in the top category of album of the year. During last years Grammys, Beyonc made awards show history by winning a record 32 awards. I dont want to embarrass this Beyonc, but she has the most Grammys than everyone and never won album of the year. So even by your own metrics, that doesnt work. Think about that: The most Grammys. He used Beyonce to highlight this point because, as he said, by their "own metrics," she's had multiple songs win that were on the same album yet somehow that album wasn't considered the best? As said above, the award for AOTY does not automatically go to the same person who might have won a bunch of other awards, some Albums are just great experiences and better than the sum of their parts. 2. Because Beyonce is his wife, it just comes across as, "My wife really wants to win the big one but she hasn't yet." Do undeserving people win Grammys?
