When the Beatles did interviews, he was seen as the nicest one while the others were sarcastic. He had a goofy name and appearance, and girls thought he was cute. And he was the main character in those weird movies because he was the only one who could actually act.

He had the best name of the group. Western author Louis Lamour said that notorious outlaw Johnny Ringo barely did anything (besides shoot one man in the back) and only made it into the history books because of his catchy name. I can't really argue against that. If the name Ringo hadn't become synonymous with a member of, let's face it, the single-most iconic band of all time, I imagine it would have become a common stock name for flashy, sexy, or edgy characters in movies and TV shows. ...
