A lot of people here have not played COD Ghosts which was an actual shit game, especially the MP with the horrible graphics, broken gameplay, and garbage campaign.

i like the gameplay.

Neither. I'm only slightly above average, with a K/D hovering somewhere between 1.1 and 1.3 in the older (pre-SBMM) CoD games, varying a bit depending on the game. I'm not amazing, but I'm not bad either.

Ghosts was absolute garbage. It was easily my least favorite CoD game of all time until Modern Doorfare 2019 and Modern Doorfare Roman Numeral Two 2022 Electric Boogaloo: It's Doorbin' Time joined it in the garbage tier. Fuck all three of those games and fuck Infinity Ward.

Also, multiplayer would be so much better if they lowered the health either to where it was or somewhere in the middle. It would make such a difference in everything

Modern Warfare 2019 introduced working doors to the game which was simply the worst change in the history of ever (it wasn't)

The increased HP wouldn't be bad if the weapon balance wasn't complete trash and the servers actually had proper hit detection. It was fine in Cold War.

Huh, I actually like doors. I remember in the beginning, you could fuck with people a lot using doors. You still kinda can but they expect it more. Like it used to be in hard point you could trick people into one heavily defended choke point by just closing some doors. People expect it much more now.

I agree with you there. They really just need to do something, anything to fix it at this point. It's really annoying.

They're just one symptom (and the most notable symbol) of what MW 2019 and MW2 2022 did to CoD. Both of those games slowed the core gameplay down to a snail's pace that favors defensive players (AKA campers) and punishes aggressive players. Slower movement speeds, slower aim down sight speeds, slower aim walking speeds, the Ghost perk keeps you off the radar even when not moving, claymores and mines are infinitely replenishable by the Restock perk, louder footsteps and no Dead Silence as a a perk (plus doors that need to be opened and make a lot of noise when doing so) means the campers can easily hear you coming and pre-aim the door/corner... need I go on?

Treyarch and Sledgehammer actually know how to make fun, fast-paced CoD multiplayer, while Infinity Ward and their door fetishist boss Joe Cecot are trying to turn it into a poor man's Rainbow Six to the detriment of the entire franchise.

All of that is gone now, yet MW3 is still the campiest CoD I've played since Ghosts.

My experience has been totally different. It's only campy on the worst maps like Estate and Derail that were already garbage in the original MW2 13 years ago. On most maps, the game is a lot more fast-paced, I never feel like I'm getting punished for moving around, and I can often outplay them with my movement. I'm losing more gunfights to people who have better movement skills than me than I am to campers.

>sucks because I'm replacing someone who left because they were losing
>lose
>lobby disbanded
>matchmaking resumes
>joins half over game
>repeat

Say what you will about rarely getting to start a game from scratch, what also bugs me is, gone are the days of staying with the same nutjobs through like 15 straight games and then never seeing them again. Why in the fucking hell do they have to disband lobbies after every match?

Not me. After MW 2019, I know to never buy an Infinity Ward CoD game again (which is why I didn't waste money on MW2 2022 last year after how awful that beta was) and to wait for a bit after launch before I buy any CoD games from the other studios to see how they launch. I tried MW3's beta, I liked it, I saw that the full game launched with flaws but still with that same fun core gameplay, I watched some videos and heard some opinions on the multiplayer, I bought it, and I still like it.
