At the Arlong Park arc, and the scene where Luffy gives Nami the Straw Hat is my new favorite scene in the show.

Buckle up, if you liked that scene enough for it to be your favorite, then you're in for one hell of a ride.

Yeah, it's one of the great scenes in the series for sure. Are you watching the anime?

It's really fuckin' good.

I didn't expect it to be as good as everyone says, but sure enough, it is.

That's also the scene that got me into it, mostly.

The shot of them marching to the park goes so fuckin hard.

To this day, still one of the best Luffy moment/moments in general. But Luffy has many more to come.

Honestly, it's been a blast to watch from the first episode but this arc has been something else.

I don't watch One Piece but I did see a clip of that scene recently and it was better than I expected.

What's funny is I didn't think it'd get any better in quality after Arlong Park.

Then Alabasta happened and man I've never blasted through a manga so fast in my life, I couldn't put it down.

And then Skypia. Then Water 7...it's hard to rank these arcs, but Alabasta, Skypia, and Water 7 are probably top 3.

One Piece is one hell of an adventure. It's super long, but it's worth it, imo.

I disagree.

It is the scene that made me stay with the series forever.

I need to start to force this show again. The insanely stupid decision making was pissing me off so much that I started watching other stuff

Halfway through Skypiea right now but I did fall off a little.

The setting and world building is the best it's been so far, but it just doesn't grab me like the other arcs have.

I know I'll love Water 7 though so I just need to suck it up and finish the arc.

but just like you, I also started watching one piece recently. I am at episode 920 now and I started one piece early september.

I got so hooked on it that I tried to watch as much as I could whenever I am not olaying video games, sleeping or working.

Apart from Water 7 none of those arcs would even be in my top 5

It's telling that in a series that's had 25 years of awesome moments, this one from from very early in the series is so enduring. It's really the first time that Luffy takes the initiative as the leader of the group, and the way that Zoro, Sanji, and Usopp fell in unflinchingly as Luffy began to storm towards Arlong Park was too cool for words. Easily one of the greatest moments in the series.

I am always envious when I see posts like this because I truly wish I enjoyed One Piece, but could never get into it. And I've tried multiple times.

I will say I did / am enjoying the live-action version, however. But not enough to sit through the animated series.

Curious, but that's okay. I myself have Dressrosa and others ranked high, but it feels hard to compare. I also enjoyed Thriller Bark.

Indeed. I didn't have a lot of complaints about the live action, but the walk to Arlong Park, and how Luffy punches it down, calmly walks up to Arlong, and smashes him was sorely missed.

Luffy has to ring a bell to save everyone's dreams right, abd he rings it by basically punching it but this was foreshadowed way back on jaya when he punched a guy named BELLamy who didn't believe in dreams see it's amazing right and totally on purpose

Watch everyone finding this obvious
